WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Come as you are. We aren’t worried about what you’re wearing.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Park wherever you like. handicap spots are available just outside the main church entrance.

WHAT DO I NEED TO WORSHIP?

For your convenience, the service in its entirety (i.e. readings, music, etc.) is printed in the bulletins. Church staff will give you a bulletin as you enter the sanctuary.

What is the focus of the worship services at Pilgrim Baptist Church?

Regardless which Sunday you come to, the focus will always be Jesus, the Son of God – the central figure of the Bible, our hope, joy, and eternal salvation. In every service, we apply the unchanging truth of God’s Word to the ever-changing challenges and complexities of our lives that we face today in a post-modern world.

Will I be asked for money?

Malachi 3:10 states, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Visitors need not feel obligated to participate in the offering.

What about My Child?

Kids of all ages are welcome. We encourage kids and their parents to grow in faith together. Our worship services not only encourage families with children to worship together, but are tailored to actively engage every worshiper, including children. After children’s moment with Pastor Gary D. Jones kids of all ages will break away into their own service in the back of the church call Heritage. If you need to step out with your child, feel free to take a moment with them in the entryway to the church.

What are the worship services like?

At Pilgrim Baptist the songs we use in worship will reflect the timelessness and timeliness of the Christian message. We strive to present a healthy blend of both historic traditions and modern creativity in our worship services. Musically we use pianos, tamberines, drums, and guitars. We pray together. You may notice dancing but do not be alarmed everything is guided by the Holy Spirit. Our worship services typically last about an hour and 40 minutes.
